hello you! welcome to my wee blog!

raya raya raya!

We went to the Geylang Serai Bazaar the day before yesterday and took the camera along! It doesn’t feel like Raya if you don’t go Geylang!

It must be the fasting talking but all the food there looks soooo good – goreng pisang, dendeng (aka halal bakkwa!), twister potato (new product offering!), ramly burger. Not suprising that everything is fried to the T and super unhealthy for you. Damn you cravings! *shakes ineffectual fists*

(Note: When I say Geylang, I mean Geylang Serai! Many a miscomm has happened due to the ambiguity!)

Someone feeling very drama 😛

The ubiquitous Upin and Ipin balloons/dolls.

Fairy lights! Or “lampu lap-lip” as it is more affectionally known.

Random leg in the middle of nowhere!

Teh crowds!

Pretty pretty photos we took from our vantage point on the overhead bridge!

The lights make me feel so happy!

I’m super looking forward to eating copious amounts of lontong, ketupat, sambal goreng, kuih tart and numerous cakes! (am salivating already) Sure, I’d have to put up with “curious” relatives wanting to know where I’m working, when I’m getting married, etc etc, but I guess it’ll be worth it yeah?

Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir dan Batin to all Muslims!

And have a great long weekend everybody!
