penang, I love you.

Hi my lovely people!

I’ve been back from Penang since Saturday, but I can’t stop thinking about the trip and the sights, smells and sounds of the city.

Here are just some of the photos we took that’ll hopefully give you a taste of what it was like.

The lion on the old clock tower, built in 1897 by Penang millionaire Cheah Chen Eok to commemorate 60 years of Queen Victoria’s reign.

In P Ramlee’s birth house, with his nephew, Y Ramlee who chatted me up (!) and sang P Ramlee songs to me (!)

We had daily breakfasts on our verandah prepared by Uncle Chuan everyday. (We stayed in a colonial pre-war house)

With our super friendly hosts, Jeremy and Kelvyn outside the beautiful Palanquinn Heritage Suites. I would totally recommend this B&B for anyone going to Penang!

On the last day, trying to soak up as much of the Penang atmosphere as possible by traveling on foot (and getting sunburnt in the process)

Oh man, just doing up this post makes me miss it so much! We took the train there, which was quite an adventure (sadly I don’t have many photos on the train) but it was really an amazing experience!

I also just collected my film photos, they came out beautifully and can’t wait to share!
