Back from our short trip to Bali, it definitely was not enough. Looking forward to the visiting it again and this time heading to Ubud for the rice padi fields.
In other news, I ran the Sundown Marathon without much training and survived with the best timing I ever had! Don’t ask me why I do it, for some reason despite the pain and me wanting to quit at 13km, somehow I clung on and managed to finish it in 5 hours and 42 minutes. Already thinking about the next race, which I really should train for this time.
Random question, but what makes Caprisone such a good beach drink? I love it!
Today, I am 26 years and one day old. Officially over the “quarter-life crisis”phase of my life and finally feeling more like an adult. My brother said it best when he said in his message to me: “ooh the 2nd half of the twenties, spending power and maturity of thought! the best years.” Cue the theme song from The Wonder Years.
I am off to Bali for the weekend and now face a rather trifling and yet no-less-puzzling question – what to wear? Oh life.
It’s the time of year to dream about Nadinoo. It’s a bit early but I’m looking for a perfect birthday outfit…last year I thought that I wanted to get something from Nadinoo but didn’t in the end, so maybe this might be the year? I just love the idea of clothing that’s made to order, and designer Nadia Izruna’s designs never fail to make me dream about pixies running in a field of flowers. Pretty ain’t it?
On another note, I didn’t receive any notifications from wordpress so I thought that no one commented on my previous blogpost. Was feeling kinda sad about it, but then I logged on today and so the comments, and I feel instantly cheered up and silly at the same time. When you’re feeling down, sometimes these small things can make such a world of difference. Thank you, dears.
A life of quietude;
Preferred by some.
A life of mistakes;
Avoided by others.
A life of sin;
Death by fire.
A life of nothing.
Death, by adventure omitted.
Zee Avi posted this the other day and it’s just sublime. I just love how there’s so many good Raya songs that can evoke so many different emotions – sadness, happiness, guilt, relief, longing, hope, amongst others. These classic Raya songs just have a way of getting to you, don’t they! (The new ones seriously don’t cut it for me)
Called “When I Grow Up: a showcase”, it will be held at their school in Pahang Street (that’s near Arab Street, you cool kids!) and will feature the works from their students. Oh, and there’ll be free beer too for you beer-enthusiasts out there.
I’ll be heading down after work, and you should too if you wanna check out some cool works, meet new people, or if you just need a reason to go to Arab Street, hehe.
And yes, for those who were wondering, shermeen likes to use her friends in her design work – it’s a difficult job, but someone has to do it! 🙂
