My internet at home has been down, which is a major bummer. Thankfully the trusty ‘ol PC in my brother’s room is standing strong, so here I am.
It’s Christmas Eve today, hope you have the merriest! I am off to Kuala Lumpur for the weekend! In the meantime, here are the film photos I promised. I had a stroke of good luck and managed to get 38 photos for what was supposed to be 36 exposure rolls, yayness!
Part #2 coming up on Boxing Day. Have a great whee-kend! (:
Hi my lovely people!
I’ve been back from Penang since Saturday, but I can’t stop thinking about the trip and the sights, smells and sounds of the city.
Here are just some of the photos we took that’ll hopefully give you a taste of what it was like.
A beautiful street cat we met
Pretty lights in the Batu Feringgi night market. Pity that it was kind of a tourist trap.
We had daily breakfasts on our verandah prepared by Uncle Chuan everyday. (We stayed in a colonial pre-war house)
With our super friendly hosts, Jeremy and Kelvyn outside the beautiful Palanquinn Heritage Suites. I would totally recommend this B&B for anyone going to Penang!
Oh man, just doing up this post makes me miss it so much! We took the train there, which was quite an adventure (sadly I don’t have many photos on the train) but it was really an amazing experience!
I also just collected my film photos, they came out beautifully and can’t wait to share!
Hi everyone, I’m Fiza! As mentioned in the previous entry, I’m going to be guest blogging today! This is my first time and I really have to thank Nabbycat for the opportunity. Hope you’re enjoying yourself in Penang! ps. I heard they have really good food there 😛
I’m always curious to know what people bring with them in their make-up pouch/bag. My favorite place to have a sneak is definitely the toilet – when ladies leave their make-up bags wide open while they do their touch ups. I’ve seen some really tiny ones and some really huuuuge ones (they really should bring a train case instead, that will help lift some weight off their bags!)
I like to bring this particular bag (got it from The Body Shop’s warehouse sale!) with me. My bags tend to be filled to the brim. I always bring so many things with me, I have no idea why. So this make-up bag is just nice to fill my make-up essentials and to fit my bags. I don’t carry around all the products I use because that just means I need to bring a train case (okay, I kid). I’ll just bring the necessary ones with me. Most importantly, they must be the products I used for my FOTD. Imagine wearing a mismatched lip color and eye shadow :O
Elf’s powder brush (awesome, awesome brush. use it with my powder)
MAC’s blusher in Gingerly
The Face Shop’s eyelash curler
MAC’s plush lash mascara
Random spooli brush from SaSa
Elf’s complexion brush (use it with my blusher)
Box of bobby pins
Canmake liquid eyeliner
Maybelline’s lip balm
NYX lipstick in Fire
Maybelline’s pencil liner
MAC’s studio finish concealer in NC35
MAC’s studio fix powder in NC42
So…what’s in your make-up? Thanks again for having me, Nabbycat! 😀
My name is Lenny, nice to meet you! This is a rather old picture of me, taken about a year ago but well, hello! 🙂
I don’t own a SX-70 but it is my dream to own it one day. As for now, I’m grateful enough to own a Polaroid Land 600.
Here are some pictures of things that I love and I took them all with my Polaroid.
I like to imagine the sky is a piece of magic canvas because one day it’s orange …
… and the next day it can give you some light shade of blue.
Besides that, I love to smile at silly things like this heart shaped sunny side up on my fried vermicelli noodle. Did the cook confessed his/her love to me? 😛
I also love lace. And shoes. Or better yet, lace on my shoes.
I also love receiving shoes as a birthday gift. But I’ll never have the heart to wear them out 😦
I like these colourful spiral staircases … I hate climbing them though.
Sometimes, I love surprises. This happened because I dropped my Polaroid on the floor one fine day. I was quite afraid my Polaroid wouldn’t function anymore after that…
… but it turned out okay, phew!
I like to do the laundry on some days..
.. and I like making a mess of my study table most of the time.
I love it when I get to gather with my best-friends, especially on the last day of the year. And oh, say hello to Fiza of mynakedlunch who will be guest blogging some time this week (she’s the one on the far left of this picture).
The year is coming to an end (soon) and I hope all of you had a fantastic 2010. I hope 2011 will be a much better year for all of us and don’t forget to party away with them balloons (or drinks, food, foam bath and what have you)!
P.S. Unfortunately balloons are one of the things I’m afraid of thanks to a tragic birthday celebration I had when I was five 😦
P.P.S And thank you Nabbycat for having me this time round! 😀
Some of the photos I took using my Superheadz Yellow Peace camera, my first foray into film.
*edited with captions
It’s actually a pretty decent camera, best for taking photos in the day. Many of the photos I took in low light did not turn out so nice, so I guess that’s one main drawback.
I also lost half a roll-full of photos because I did not wind the film properly at the end and exposed my film. But I guess that’s part and parcel of shooting with film, no? Plus, nothing beats the excitement of waiting for your film to be developed!
That reminds me, gotta bring the camera out again, I have not touched it since Australia!
Hi lovelies! I’m backkk! (:
Thank you to my lovely guest bloggers for keeping chai&biskut safe and warm, I enjoyed reading the posts so much and looked forward to reading them every single day! Massively big warm fuzzy hugs to Zee, Sarah, Sherms, Nicole, Melly, Sandy, Z, Faiz, Liyana and Squid for making when the nabbycat’s away such a success!
There’s so much to say, but I’ll keep it short for now. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this video by Ingrid Michaelson, called “Maybe”.
